PT| Dando continuidade ao ciclo de celebração do centenário de nascimento do fundador do anti-grupo "Os Surrealistas", a 16 de dezembro, entre as 17h e as 20h, inaugura a exposição "Cesariny - Lusofonias - Surrealismo", que dá a oportunidade ao público português de conhecer, numa versão ampliada, a exposição que assinalou o centenário de nascimento de Mário Cesariny de Vasconcelos (1923-2006) em Copenhaga, na Dinamarca.  

A inauguração será marcada pela apresentação da vídeo-performance "O Lado Oculto das Máscaras" de Vanessa Paz (1993), artista brasileira radicada em Portugal. Nela, a artista conduz o espetador numa exploração poética e visual que revela as intrincadas camadas da psique humana.

ENG| Continuing the cycle celebrating the centenary of the birth of the founder of the anti-group "Os Surrealistas", the exhibition "Cesariny - Lusophonies - Surrealism" opens on December 16th, between 5pm and 8pm, giving the Portuguese public the opportunity to see, in an expanded version, the exhibition that marked the centenary of the birth of Mário Cesariny de Vasconcelos (1923-2006) in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The opening will be marked by the presentation of the video performance "O Lado Oculto das Máscaras" (The Hidden Side of Masks) by Vanessa Paz (1993), a Brazilian artist based in Portugal. In it, the artist leads the viewer on a poetic and visual exploration that reveals the intricate layers of the human psyche.

FIG Bilbao | Palácio Euskalduna | 22 a 26 de novembro

PT| Depois do sucesso em 2022, que culminou com a atribuição do prestigiado prémio de melhor stand, a Perve Galeria regressa ao Palácio Euskalduna, em Bilbau, Espanha, para a 12ª edição da FIG - Festival Internacional de Gravura e Arte sobre Papel, de 23 a 26 de novembro de 2023. No stand E20, a exposição estabelece um diálogo virtuoso, tecendo conexões entre o Sul global, da América Latina a África.

ENG| After the resounding success in 2022, culminating in the prestigious accolade for the best stand, Perve Galeria returns to the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Spain, for the 12th edition of FIG - International Printmaking and Paper Art Fair, from November 23rd to 26th, 2023. At booth E20, the exhibition establishes a virtuoso dialogue, weaving connections across the global South, from Latin America to Africa.

Lisbon Art Weekend | 9/11 > 12/11/2023

PT| A Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny e a Perve Galeria têm o prazer de anunciar a sua participação na 5.ª edição do Lisbon Art Weekend, entre 9 e 12 de novembro de 2023. Neste evento, que reúne na capital portuguesa 250 artistas em exposições, conversas e concertos em torno da arte contemporânea, não só estaremos com um horário alargado, como iremos promover vários eventos especiais. Destes, destacamos, no sábado, dia 11 de novembro, o espetáculo "Coração Comercial Ambiental" de Vítor Rua, uma das figuras-chave da música criativa portuguesa. Mais informações abaixo.

10.º Aniversário da Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny / Freedom House - Mário Cesariny's 10th Anniversary | 02/11/2023

PT| The House of Freedom - Mário Cesariny celebrates its 10th Anniversary, this Thursday, November 2nd! From 6pm onwards, at its facilities in Alfama, a festive event will be held, as part of the cycle of Commemoration of the Centenary of Mário Cesariny de Vasconcelos (1923-2006), the main inspiration behind the foundation of the institution.

As part of the celebration, there will be artistic performances, with the musician Vítor Rua, the musical project "Ajsan Balkan", dedicated to Klezmer and Balkan music, and the reading of poems by Cesariny and his contemporary authors, by various actors, including Conceição Baleizão and Fernando Aguiar. In addition, Carlos Cabral Nunes, director and curator, will conduct a guided tour of the exhibitions.

On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported this project over time.  It will certainly be a very special day for all those who see arts and culture as a means to dissolve borders and barriers, meeting places and the essence of living in freedom.

ENG| Freedom House - Mário Cesariny is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this Thursday, November 2nd! Join us starting at 6 PM at our Alfama location for a festive event, part of the Commemoration of the Centenary of Mário Cesariny de Vasconcelos (1923-2006), the driving force behind the establishment of our institution.
