PT| A Perve Galeria tem o prazer de anunciar a inauguração da exposição "Everything to Learn", que celebra os 25 anos de atividade da galeria, no dia 2 de novembro de 2025, entre as 17h00 e as 20h00.
Curada por Óscar Faria, a exposição, que ficará patente até 17 de janeiro, inspira-se na obra homónima de Mário Cesariny e reúne artistas relevantes no panorama português que ainda não possuem representação galerística. As suas obras dialogam com peças das coleções e acervos da Perve Galeria e da Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny, criando pontes entre diferentes gerações e práticas artísticas.
Durante a inauguração, o público poderá assistir a performances de Vanda Madureira, Thierry Simões e Martin Wöllenstein.
O evento inclui também a reabertura do 27ARTe, espaço de arte contemporânea ao ar livre, acessível 24/7, inaugurado em 2022, com a instalação site-specific da dupla Time For The Oniric (Micaela Guedes e Carina Prazeres), e a inauguração da nova configuração da mostra "(O)postos Coincidentes".
ENG| Perve Galeria is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition "Everything to Learn", celebrating 25 years of the gallery's activity, on November 2, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Curated by Óscar Faria, the exhibition, on show until January 17, takes inspiration from the homonymous artwork by Mário Cesariny and brings together a group of artists who, despite their relevance within the Portuguese art scene, remain without gallery representation. Their works are presented in dialogue with pieces from the collections and archives of Perve Galeria and the Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny, creating a bridge between different generations and artistic practices.
During the opening, visitors will be able to attend performances by Vanda Madureira, Thierry Simões, and Martin Wöllenstein.
The event also includes the reopening of 27ARTe, an outdoor contemporary art space, accessible 24/7, opened in 2022, with a site-specific installation by the duo Time For The Oniric (Micaela Guedes and Carina Prazeres), and the opening of the new configuration of the exhibition Coincident Opposites.

Celebrando o 25.º aniversário da Perve Galeria, estabelecida em Alfama em 2000, Everything to Learn reúne um conjunto de artistas que, não obstante a sua importância e relevância no panorama artístico e cultural português, continuam sem representação galerística. Com curadoria de Óscar Faria, as suas obras são colocadas em diálogo com peças das coleções e acervos da galeria e da Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny, criando uma ponte entre diferentes gerações e práticas artísticas.
Segundo o curador, sendo este um “sintoma de uma situação que se tem vindo a acentuar nos últimos anos, esta mostra procura pôr a nu as fragilidades de um meio cada vez mais refém de agendas [onde] nomes com percursos sólidos são esquecidos por um sistema sempre à procura da última moda”. O nome da exposição apropria o título de uma obra que Mário Cesariny realizou em 1968, integrante da Coleção da Casa da Liberdade, reforçando o caráter de aprendizagem contínua e reflexão crítica que atravessa toda a mostra.
Os artistas apresentados têm entre 35 e 85 anos, num diálogo intergeracional que, nas palavras do curador, “apesar da consistência dos trajetos, não têm tido o reconhecimento institucional devido: faltaram as exposições de meio de carreira, faltam as mostras que reconhecem, em vida, trabalhos de décadas”. Entre eles estão artistas como Fernando Brito, Vítor Silva Cravo, Ana Efe, José Miguel Gervásio, Eduardo Petersen, Nuno Henrique, Vanda Madureira, Cristiana Ortiga, Fernando José Pereira, Sebastião Resende, Thierry Simões e António de Sousa, entre outros.
Assinalando o seu 25.º aniversário, a Perve Galeria celebra um percurso singular, plural e profundamente comprometido com a promoção de vozes artísticas injustamente sub-representadas, sobretudo oriundas do Sul Global e do espaço lusófono. Ao longo de um quarto de século, tem dado visibilidade e projeção internacional a artistas como Reinata Sadimba, Ernesto Shikhani, Malangatana Ngwenya, Manuel Figueira, Teresa Roza d’Oliveira e João Artur da Silva, entre outros, cujas obras integram coleções e instituições de referência.
Com Everything to Learn, a Perve Galeria dá continuidade a este percurso, oferecendo visibilidade a artistas institucionalmente subvalorizados e convidando o público a (re)descobrir trajetórias sólidas. A exposição assume-se como um gesto de reconhecimento e um espaço vivo de reflexão sobre a arte, entendida como prática que perdura para além do tempo e das efemeridades do gosto.
No dia da inauguração, a galeria promove um programa de performances inéditas de Vanda Madureira, Thierry Simões e Martin Wöllenstein.
O evento assinala ainda a reformulação do 27ARTe, espaço de arte ao ar livre, acessível 24/7, que a Perve dinamiza desde 2022, quando recuperou um espaço devoluto em Alfama com o apoio da Junta de Freguesia de Santa Maria Maior. Desde então, diversos artistas têm realizado intervenções site-specific no espaço, e agora é a vez da dupla emergente Time For The Oniric, composta por Micaela Guedes e Carina Prazeres. Enquanto vencedoras da open-call internacional promovida pela Perve para assinalar o seu 25.º aniversário, realizaram recentemente uma residência artística com a a galeria, e apresentam agora a instalação site-specific que desenvolveram para o 27ARTe.
No mesmo dia, na reconfiguração a exposição "(O)postos Coincidentes", na Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, Ruca Bourbon, outro dos vencedores da open call, apresenta pela primeira vez a instalação "Criptolisboa", concebida durante a sua residência artística. Investigando histórias, mitos e acontecimentos de Lisboa, com especial atenção à zona de Alfama, o artista recorreu a técnicas de deriva, psicogeografia e recolha de objetos para criar fotomontagens, assemblagens e esculturas. O resultado é uma obra audiovisual e multimédia única que combina imagens de arquivo, registos da residência artística e recursos de inteligência artificial.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Perve Galeria, established in Alfama in 2000, Everything to Learn brings together a group of artists who, despite their significance and relevance within the Portuguese artistic and cultural landscape, remain without gallery representation. Curated by Óscar Faria, the exhibition presents their works in dialogue with pieces from the collections and archives of Perve Galeria and the Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny, creating a bridge between different generations and artistic practices.
According to the curator, this is “a symptom of a situation that has been worsening in recent years. This exhibition seeks to expose the fragilities of a field increasingly bound by agendas, where artists with solid careers are forgotten by a system constantly chasing the next trend.” The exhibition’s title borrows from a 1968 work by Mário Cesariny, held in the collection of the Casa da Liberdade, reinforcing the spirit of continuous learning and critical reflection that permeates the entire show.
The participating artists range in age from 35 to 85, establishing an intergenerational dialogue that, as the curator notes, “despite the consistency of their paths, has not received the institutional recognition it deserves: mid-career exhibitions were missing, as are the retrospectives that acknowledge, in life, decades of work.” Among the featured artists are Fernando Brito, Vítor Silva Cravo, Ana Efe, José Miguel Gervásio, Eduardo Petersen, Nuno Henrique, Vanda Madureira, Cristiana Ortiga, Fernando José Pereira, Sebastião Resende, Thierry Simões, and António de Sousa, among others.
Marking its 25th anniversary, Perve Galeria celebrates a singular and plural trajectory, deeply committed to promoting underrepresented artistic voices, particularly those from the Global South and the Lusophone world. Over the past quarter century, the gallery has brought international visibility to artists such as Reinata Sadimba, Ernesto Shikhani, Malangatana Ngwenya, Manuel Figueira, Teresa Roza d’Oliveira, and João Artur da Silva, among others, whose works now feature in major collections and institutions.
With Everything to Learn, Perve Galeria continues this path, giving visibility to institutionally undervalued artists and inviting the public to (re)discover enduring creative journeys. The exhibition stands as a gesture of recognition and a living space for reflection on art, understood as a practice that endures beyond time and the ephemerality of taste.
On the day of the opening, the gallery will present a program of original performances by Vanda Madureira, Thierry Simões, and other guest artists. The event also marks the relaunch of 27ARTe, the outdoor contemporary art space accessible 24/7, which Perve has managed since 2022, after reclaiming a vacant space in Alfama with the support of the Santa Maria Maior Parish Council. Since then, various artists have realized site-specific interventions in the space. Now, it is the turn of the emerging duo Time For The Oniric, composed of Micaela Guedes and Carina Prazeres. As winners of the international open-call organized by Perve to celebrate its 25th anniversary, they recently completed an artistic residency with the gallery and are now presenting the site-specific installation they developed for 27ARTe.
On the same day, in the reconfiguration of the exhibition Coincident Opposites. at Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, Ruca Bourbon, another of the winners of the open call, presents for the first time the installation ‘Criptolisboa’, conceived during his artistic residency. Investigating stories, myths and events in Lisbon, with a special focus on the Alfama district, the artist used techniques of drifting, psychogeography and object collection to create photomontages, assemblages and sculptures. The result is a unique audiovisual and multimedia work that combines archive images, records of the artistic residency and artificial intelligence resources.
