EN | From 3 to 7 October, Perve Galeria will be present at Frieze Masters, an international art fair that returns to the Regent’s Park, in London (United Kingdom), for its 7th edition.
Represented by Perve Galeria, Ernesto Shikhani (1934-2010) will be the first African artist to be featured in the Spotlight section of the fair, which, since its creation, has become a privileged location for the discovery of extraordinary, little-known artists of the 20th century.
Born in Mozambique, Ernesto Shikhani spent his entire life on the African continent and his artistic work has always reflected a concern with the problems of contemporary societies of the era in which he lived (Mozambican war of independence and the sequent civil war). About 20 works by the Mozambican artist will be exhibited during the event, with the intention to prospect his historical evolution.
As in previous editions, the 7th edition of Frieze Masters coincides with Frieze London, together representing the most significant event in London’s cultural calendar.
Perve Galeria's participation in Frieze Masters is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Incentive System for Internationalization of SMEs.

PT | Entre 3 e 7 de outubro, a Perve Galeria vai estar presente na Frieze Masters, feira de arte internacional que regressa ao Regent’s Park, em Londres (Reino Unido), para a 7.ª edição.
Representado pela Perve Galeria, Ernesto Shikhani (1934-2010) será o primeiro artista de origem africana em destaque na secção Spotlight do certame que, desde a sua criação, se assume como um local privilegiado para a descoberta de artistas extraordinários, pouco reconhecidos, do século XX.
Natural de Moçambique, Ernesto Shikhani passou toda a sua vida no continente africano e a sua obra artística sempre refletiu uma preocupação com as problemáticas das sociedades contemporâneas da época em que viveu (a guerra da independência e a consequente guerra civil de Moçambique). Com o intuito de perspetivar a sua evolução histórica, cerca de 20 obras do artista moçambicano serão exibidas durante o evento.
À semelhança das edições anteriores, a 7.ª edição da Frieze Masters coincide com a Frieze London que, em conjunto, representam o evento mais importante do calendário cultural de Londres.
A participação da Perve Galeria na Frieze Masters é cofinanciada pelo Portugal 2020, no âmbito do Sistema de Incentivos à Internacionalização das PME.

EN | From 20 to 23 September, Perve Galeria will be present at Contemporary Istanbul, an international art fair held annually in Istanbul, Turkey.
The 13th edition will present a unique lineup of 85 galleries from 21 countries, reaffirming its position as a place of discovery of authors and the most innovative artistic proposals worldwide.
This year’s edition represents the premiere of Perve Galeria in the Turkish art market, with a project that aims to reflect on the paths and connections that the art produced in an Afro-Ibero-American context has registered.
At Contemporary Istanbul, Perve Galeria will put in dialogue artists of different generations and geographical locations who, by challenging the boundaries of expression, have been affirming their own art, namely Aldo Alcota (b. 1976, Chile), Sónia Aniceto (b. 1974, Portugal), Teresa Balté (b. 1942, Portugal), Lizette Chirrime (b. 1973, Mozambique), Miguel Huerta (b. 1964, Chile) and Carlos Zíngaro (b. 1948, Portugal).
As in previous editions, CI Dialogues, which will take place on 18 September, opens the 13th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, with conferences on the theme "Sensibilities". Parallel to the additional programming, the art fair coincides with other events like the photographic exhibition Prix Pictet or the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial offering a unique opportunity to explore the vast artistic and cultural scene gathered in the largest city in Turkey.
Perve Galeria's participation in Contemporary Istanbul is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Incentive System for Internationalization of SMEs.

A 13.ª edição conta com a participação de 85 galerias de 21 países, reafirmando a posição que tem vindo a assumir como um local de descoberta de autores e propostas artísticas mais inovadoras a nível mundial.
A edição deste ano representa a estreia da Perve Galeria no mercado de arte turco, com um projeto que visa refletir sobre os percursos e conexões que a arte produzida num contexto Afro-Ibero-Americano tem registado.
Para efeitos da Contemporary Istanbul, a Perve Galeria irá colocar em diálogo artistas de gerações e origens geográficas distintas que, ao desafiar os limites de expressão, têm vindo a afirmar as suas próprias plásticas, nomeadamente Aldo Alcota (n. 1976, Chile), Sónia Aniceto (n. 1974, Portugal), Teresa Balté (n. 1942, Portugal), Lizette Chirrime (n. 1973, Moçambique), Miguel Huerta (n. 1964, Chile) e Carlos Zíngaro (n. 1948, Portugal).
À semelhança das edições anteriores, o ciclo CI Dialogues, agendado para o dia 18 de setembro, inaugura a 13.ª edição da Contemporary Istanbul, com conferências dedicadas ao tema "Sensibilidades". Paralelamente à programação adicional, a feira de arte coincide com a realização de eventos como a exposição fotográfica Prix Pictet e a 4.ª Bienal de Design de Istambul, oferecendo, assim, uma oportunidade única para explorar o vasto panorama artístico e cultural reunido na maior cidade da Turquia.

PT | Entre 12 a 17 de junho, a Perve Galeria vai marcar presença na SCOPE - feira de arte contemporânea, que regressa a Basileia, Suíça, para uma nova edição. Comemorando o seu 12.º aniversário naquela cidade, trata-se da maior e a mais global feira de arte contemporânea no contexto internacional.

Reconhecida pela sua capacidade de prever novas tendências visuais emergentes à escala global, a feira de arte reúne, este ano, 70 galerias provenientes de todo o mundo, entre as quais a Perve Galeria, cujo projeto dará continuidade ao que foi anteriormente apresentado na nova feira de arte em Lisboa, a JustLx.

Para efeitos da SCOPE, a Perve Galeria irá mostrar um projeto, agora ampliado, que coloca em diálogo as obras de cinco mulheres artistas, tendo origens diversas e sendo de gerações distintas, nomeadamente Lizette Chirrime (n. 1973, Mozambique), Manuela Jardim (n. 1949, Guiné-Bissau), Reinata Sadimba (n. 1945, Moçambique), Sónia Aniceto (n. 1976, Portugal) e Teresa Balté (n. 1942, Portugal).

Aldo Alcota, de Chile, Artur do Cruzeiro Seixas, de Portugal, Ernesto Shikhani, de Moçambique, e Miguel Ángel Huerta Zuñiga, de Chile, são os quatro artistas homens, cujas obras estarão disponíveis no acervo durante a feira de arte.

EN | From 12 to 17 June, Perve Galeria will be present at SCOPE - the contemporary art fair, which returns to Basel, Switzerland, for a new edition. Celebrating its 12th anniversary in that city, it is the largest and most global contemporary art fair in the world.

Renowned for its uncanny ability to forecast new visual trends that are embraced globally, the art fair brings together this year 70 galleries from all over the world, including Perve Galeria, whose project will continue the one that was previously presented at the new art fair in Lisbon, JustLx.

Perve Galeria will show at SCOPE a project, now expanded, that puts in dialogue the works of five female artists, of diverse origins and different generations, namely Lizette Chirrime (b. 1973, Mozambique), Manuela Jardim (b. 1949, Guinea Bissau), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique), Sónia Aniceto (b. 1976, Portugal) and Teresa Balté (b. 1942, Portugal).

Aldo Alcota from Chile, Artur do Cruzeiro Seixas from Portugal, Ernesto Shikhani from Mozambique and Miguel Ángel Huerta Zuñiga from Chile are the four male artists whose works will be available in the collection during the art fair.

A Perve Galeria marca presença na 1ª edição da JustLx - feira internacional de arte contemporânea, que decorre de 17 a 20 de maio, no Museu da Carris, em Alcântara. Tendo por base o compromisso tecnológico e o meio ambiente como ponto de partida na criação contemporânea, a feira vai apresentar, a par de secções comissariadas, um programa geral de galerias portuguesas, espanholas e internacionais, no qual se insere a Perve Galeria.

O stand da Perve Galeria, na JustLx, vai mostrar um projeto que reúne obras de Lizette Chirrime (artista moçambicana, a viver na África do Sul), Manuela Jardim (artista guineense, a viver em Portugal), Sónia Aniceto (artista portuguesa, a viver na Bélgica) e Teresa Balté (artista natural e a residir em Lisboa) que pretende estabelecer um diálogo direto em torno das manifestações artísticas surgidas no contexto da diáspora de autoras de língua portuguesa, em paralelo com a criação realizada por uma autora, Teresa Balté, que se manteve sempre no seu local de origem. O projeto visa assim assinalar a construção de uma identidade diversa sob a esfera de perceção feminina, unida pela mesma língua.

Paralelamente à feira, a Perve Galeria irá reabrir o seu 2º espaço, agora renovado, localizado próximo do Museu da Carris, na Avenida de Ceuta, Lote 7, Loja 1, que pode ser visitado de 4ª a Sábado, entre as 14h e as 20h. Mais informamos que esta 2ª Perve Galeria reabre oficialmente em junho com uma nova programação e uma nova marca, aPGn2 – a pigeon too. PT | A Perve Galeria vai estar presente na 12.ª edição da Art Dubai, que decorre de 21 a 24 de março de 2018. O certame realiza-se no Madinat Jumeirah, no Dubai.
A edição deste ano conta com a participação de 105 galerias de 48 países, reafirmando a posição que tem vindo a assumir como um local de descoberta de artistas, galerias e tendências emergentes à escala mundial.
A Perve Galeria é a única representante portuguesa e integra a Art Dubai Modern (stand M16), uma secção lançada em 2014, dedicada a obras de artistas modernos que demonstraram notoriedade no século XX. 
Cruzeiro Seixas (Portugal), Ernesto Shikhani (Moçambique), Manuel Figueira (Cabo Verde) e Reinata Sadimba (Moçambique) são os artistas apresentados pela Perve Galeria, com uma seleção de obras que sugere uma reflexão sobre a criação artística africana.
De Cruzeiro Seixas, reconhecido artista português, fundador do grupo "Os Surrealistas" com Mário Cesariny e demais companheiros, no final da década de 1940, apresentam-se obras fruto do seu contacto com o universo africano, construídas ao longo dos 12 anos que viveu em Angola. Naquela que é a sua estreia em feiras de arte internacionais com a dimensão e a importância da Art Dubai, as obras selecionadas para a mostra resumem o sentido reflexivo da obra plástica de Cruzeiro Seixas, que se manifestou em Angola na liberdade criativa e na isenção dos conceptualismos civilizacionais ocidentais bem como na captação de influências de matriz identitária africana.
As obras de Ernesto Shikhani remetem para a busca incessante por novas formas de expressão, que marcou o seu percurso artístico no contexto moderno e contemporâneo africano e de Manuel Figueira, apresentam-se obras de atmosfera surrealista, através das quais o autor cria narrativas muito próprias, irrepetíveis, que envolvem sempre uma certa (trans)figuração humana.
As esculturas de Reinata Sadimba são exemplificativas de um trabalho artístico muito determinado pelas experiências pessoais da autora moçambicana, que remontam às suas origens de etnia Makonde. 
A 12.ª edição da feira internacional dedicada à arte contemporânea de África, Ásia e Médio Oriente é marcada pela inauguração de uma nova secção – Residents – que exibe obras assinadas por autores que completaram a residência artística de quatro semanas prévia à realização da feira.
À semelhança das edições anteriores, a Art Dubai integra o Global Art Forum, a conferência anual mais significativa no domínio das artes; Art Dubai Modern Symposium, focado na vida e obra de artistas modernos; The Room, um jantar de gala diário, imersivo e performativo; e, por fim, a revelação do Abraaj Group Art Prize.
No contexto da feira de arte, a galeria apresenta internacionalmente a edição recentemente lançada “Cruzeiro Seixas. Obra Gráfica e Múltiplos de Arte”.

Perve Galeria is the only Portuguese representative and integrates Art Dubai Modern (booth M16), a section launched in 2014, dedicated to artworks by modern artists that have shown notoriety in the 20th century.
Cruzeiro Seixas (Portugal), Ernesto Shikhani (Mozambique), Manuel Figueira (Cape Verde) and Reinata Sadimba (Mozambique) are the artists presented by Perve Galeria, with a selection of works that suggest a reflection on African artistic creation.
From Cruzeiro Seixas, a well-known Portuguese artist, founder of the group "The Surrealists" with Mário Cesariny and others, at the end of the 1940s, are presented artworks from his contact with the African universe, produced over the 12 years he lived in Angola. In what is his debut in international art fairs with the size and importance of Art Dubai, the works selected for the show summarize the premonitory and reflective sense of Cruzeiro Seixas' artistic work, which was manifested in Angola in creative freedom and in exemption of Western civilization conceptualisms as well as the capture of African identity matrix influences.
Ernesto Shikhani's artworks refer to the incessant search for new forms of expression, which marked his artistic journey in the modern and contemporary African context, and from Manuel Figueira are presented artworks of the surrealist atmosphere, through which the author creates very own, unrepeatable narratives, that always involve a certain human (trans)figuration.
Reinata Sadimba's sculptures are exemplars of an artistic work very determined by the Mozambican author's personal experiences, which go back to her Makonde origins.
The 12th edition of the international fair dedicated to the contemporary art of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East is marked by the inauguration of a new section - Residents - which shows works signed by authors who completed the four-week artistic residence prior to the fair.
As in previous editions, Art Dubai presents the Global Art Forum, the most significant annual conference in the field of arts; Art Dubai Modern Symposium, focused on the life and work of modern artists; The Room, a daily, immersive and performative, gala dinner; and, finally, the revelation of the Abraaj Group Art Prize.
In the context of the art fair, the gallery will present internationally the recently released edition of “Cruzeiro Seixas. Graphic Work and Art Multiples”.
